Did you know that most entrepreneurs never graduated from college? If you have a dream of owning your own business, don’t feel as if you have no choice but to obtain a degree.
You could very well live out your dream and run a successful business with the education you currently have — even if it’s just a high school diploma.
College degrees aren’t necessarily a cornerstone of a successful business.
Contrary to what you may have previously thought, you don’t need a college degree to be a successful small business owner. In fact, only 26% of entrepreneurs graduated from college … including Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, Apple’s Steve Jobs, and Microsoft’s Bill Gates.
Our society has been trained to believe that after high school, everyone must go straight off to college for a proper education. But in reality, a degree isn’t always necessary for success. Take a long hard look at what you plan on doing. Will you be able to get the experience you need from hands-on experience or will you be better off putting four (or more) years into a college degree?
While a college degree can be very helpful and is sometimes vital, every person has a different goal. And depending on what your goal is, you might not need a degree to get there.
